Format
Western and Eastern Region Qualifiers: 3 rounds, 2 on 2, 25 minutes total for each team
City Championship and High School Tournament: 4 rounds, 2 on 2, 25 minutes total for each team – Games at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1:20pm and close at 2:30pm.

The Western and Eastern Regional Qualifiers will each be similar to last year’s tournament, with the top 10 pairs from each region advancing to the City Championship on March 6th.

The Western and Eastern Regional Qualifiers will follow this approximate schedule:

Prizes
Top prize for the winning team in the City Championship from Grades 5-8 will receive free admission to the US National School SCRABBLE® Championship, which will take place in Orlando, Florida on April 13-14, 2012. Numerous other prizes will be awarded for sportsmanship, high plays and theme words, and participation.
