Format
The standard for School Scrabble® is to play games 2-on-2, which encourage because it fosters greater learning, teamwork and inclusivity. However, in this event, players will be permitted to play on their own if they choose to, which would mean there would be some 1-on-1 and 1-on-2 matchups.
Players may be placed into divisions based on grade level, depending on final registration numbers.

The Intro to Collins tournament will introduce players to Collins Scrabble® Words, which is the primary lexicon used for SCRABBLE® outside North America. For more info about Collins, see the Lexica page.

To register, please download the registration form HERE. Right-click on the link and choose Save As.
In order to continue to grow the local competitive SCRABBLE® scene, members of the media are invited to visit the events. Therefore, all players must also present a completed Student Media Release Consent form. You may download a form HERE. This form can be submitted to us at info@schoolscrabble.ca or presented on the day of the tournament.
PARENT / GUARDIAN SUPERVISION:
Players under the age of 14 should be supervised by their parents during the event. Parents are
encouraged to wait outside the playing room while games are in progress.
